Many of Belfast’s numerous bars and pubs offer live music on Friday and Saturday nights. A pint can start from less than £4 so go bar hopping and dance the night away!
What’s your favorite restaurant here? What’s so special about it?
Mourne Seafood Bar on Bank Street is undoubtedly the city’s best restaurant, serving fresh seafood at affordable prices. It’s always packed and booking in advance is strongly recommended.
Fret not if you can’t get a seat – Mourne Seafood has a food truck outside their restaurant in spring and summer serving delicious favourites like fish and chips for just £5.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a warm Sunday morning in this city?
Warm, dry days are rare in Belfast, so I’d make full use of it having breakfast outdoors at one of the many eateries in the city centre. One bonus point if the restaurant has a view of Belfast City Hall, and two bonus points if breakfast is an Ulster Fry – a dish not to be missed when visiting Northern Ireland.
What were some of the hidden gems in that city? Why?
Not far from the city centre is the Gasworks. It was the heart of Belfast’s gas-making industry but has now been transformed into a modern business park.
The Gasworks is a tranquil oasis away from the bustle of the city centre – enjoy the view over a drink on the shaded terrace of The Radisson Blu, or venture slightly further for a beautiful walk along the Lagan River.
Anything else you want to add?
Don’t miss the Belfast Hop-on-hop-off Sightseeing Bus for a quick way to learn about the city and its history. Be sure to also check out the beautiful scenery beyond Belfast, such as the Giant’s Causeway along Northern Ireland’s stunning north coast.
